Chiropractic is a primary healthcare profession that specialises in the diagnosis, treatment and management of musculoskeletal conditions that are due to mechanical dysfunction of the joints and muscles such as back, neck, hip, shoulder, foot.
OUR SERVICES
Chiropractors use a range of techniques to reduce pain, improve function and increase mobility, including hands-on manipulation of the spine. As well as manual treatment, chiropractors are able to offer a package of care which includes advice on self-help, therapeutic exercises and lifestyle changes.
Chiropractic treatment involves safe, often gentle, specific spinal manipulation to free joints in the spine or other areas of the body that are not moving properly. Apart from manipulation, chiropractors may use a variety of techniques including ice, heat, exercise as well as advice about posture and lifestyle.

Jwala Gurung, DC, Mchiro, CCEP, LRCC
Hello my name is Jwala, I was born in Nepal to a family of Ghurkhas, I moved to Gloucestershire when I was 11 years old. I went on to study Chiropractic at one of the leading Chiropractic educational institute, the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic with an undergraduate Masters degree and an award for “personal and professional development of the year”.
Since graduating I have worked in south Yorkshire and Sheffield alongside providing pitch side support in rugby games in South Yorkshire.
In October 2013, following 12 months of studying, I qualified as a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP) which enables me to find the root cause of the problem by putting emphasis on the importance on the position of your lower extremities (such as the alignment of the feet, knees and hips) and the effects it has on the rest of the body, and in particular spinal alignment. Following which, I decided to come back home and start Tetbury Chiropractic clinic where I have loved working.
By law all Chiropractors must be registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) who are the statutory body which sets standards, protects patients and promotes the proffesion. I am registered with the GCC and a member of the longest established proffesional accociation in the UK, The British Chiropractic Association (BCA) as well as a licentiate member of the Royal College of chiropractic.
I love working with patients from all ages and help them achieve their goal whether it be managing pain or running a marathon. Whether you are experiencing pain or simply want to improve your physical and mental fitness, Tetbury Chiropractic Clinic provides the resources to do so in a healing and friendly environment. WHAT TO EXPECT & FEES
What to expect?
You do not have to be referred by a GP to visit a Chiropractor. A detailed case history is taken in order to assess your condition. An examination will be performed including specific neurological and orthopaedic tests as required.
If all is well, same day treatment can be expected.
If you are under 16, parents or guardian will have to accompany you.
Home instructions
Before leaving you may be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be carried out at home. This may include ice or heat applications, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home stretches/exercises as appropriate.
Scheduling the next appointment
Treatment frequency and the amount of treatment necessary will be advised on the first visit however this can be dependent on the type of injury and how long you have suffered from it.
Will the treatment hurt?
Chiropractic treatment is usually painless unless an area is inflamed (swollen). If this is the case then the treatment will be altered to suit your needs. Don’t worry if you hear a clicking or popping noise when one of your joints is being manipulated – this is perfectly normal with this form of treatment. Some patients have mild reactions such as temporary aches and pains after their spine or joints have been manipulated just like after exercising. It is important that you talk to your chiropractor if you feel worried about anything either during or after treatment.
